It can remove impurities too large to fit into a type A crystal and is commonly used to separate nitrogen from oxygen.

Regeneration:


YAMTOP molecular sieve Type 13X(APG) can be regenerated by either heating in the case of thermal swing processes; or by lowering the pressure in the case of pressure swing processes. 
To remove moisture from a 13X Molecular Sieve, a temperature of 250-300°C is required. A properly regenerated molecular sieve can give moisture dew points below -100°C, or mercaptans or CO2 levels below 2 ppm.
The outlet concentrations on a pressure swing process will depend on the gas present, and on the conditions of the process.

 

The service life of the 13X Molecular Sieve is usually determined by four points:


The first is the grade of the molecular sieve, the second is the service environment (affected by moisture and oil pollution), the third is the compactness of filling, and the fourth is regular maintenance. The higher the grade of 13X Molecular Sieve, the longer the service life. A dry and oil-free environment can also ensure the maximum service life of the molecular sieve. Of course, there are also factors of appropriate filling density & regular maintenance. In a word, the service life of 13X Molecular Sieve can be prolonged as long as they are used scientifically and maintained well.
